Software Engineer, Real-time, Embedded, with skills in OO design using UML | Otis Elevator Company | Farmington, CT

Entry-level position for a real-time, embedded software engineer with
skills in object-oriented design using UML:
Duties include analysis, design, implementation and testing of a wide
range of software; including embedded real-time operational and motion
control products for elevators, dispatching software for the control of
groups of elevators, remote system diagnostics and monitoring products.
The development environment spans from assembly language to C++ using
Object Oriented methodologies and tools. Additional requirements of
this position include the use of commercial operating systems and tools
such as logic state analyzers and emulators.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a BS degree in Computer Engineering,
Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with minimum GPA of 3.0
or higher. Advanced degree desirable.
Specialized Technical Skills:
Visual Basic, C, C++, Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD), Real
Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Windows NT, Microsoft SQL server and
working knowledge of Microsoft software applications.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and team skills.
- Ability to efficiently apply current software skills and newly learned
- skills to state-of-the-art software projects.
- Ability to organize tasks and work with a project plan.
- Ability to work productively within a team environment and meet
deadlines.
